CEO Andy Yen said the arrival of the cloud drive in Apple laptops will "guarantee file authenticity and prevent data tampering" via its end-to-end encryption for all metadata.

Yen vouched that the Proton Drive will provide more security than the standard iCloud drive that does not have encryption at default.

Accessing Proton Drive also allows users to use the cloud drive's other services, including Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton VPN, and Proton Pass.
