'Agatha: Darkhold Diaries' Reveals First Look Ahead of Premiere Date

A behind-the-scenes snippet from the Blu-ray version of "WandaVision" Season 1 revealed a first look at the Marvel Studios' upcoming series "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries."

Updates on 'Agatha: Darkhold Diaries'

The featurette revealed Agatha's new look for her own spinoff series. The whole thing made total sense to me and I was just so excited and thrilled," Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agatha, shared.

The new look for "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" features new locations and wardrobe designs for the series. Several familiar faces are also revealed in the snippet.

The brief footage also showed Agatha became a pivotal role in "WandaVision" to the point that she became a fan favorite, much to the studio's surprise. Hanh also admitted that she was "flabbergasted" by the positive feedback that she got from play Agatha despite playing a villain role.

The Birth of 'Agatha: Darkhold Diaries'

Prior to the success of "WandaVision," head writer and executive producer Jac Shaeffer shared her initial excitement to develop Agatha's own story. "I started talking to Marvel about developing something else, so we had early conversations about 'what could that be?'... Everything I pitched included a storyline about Agatha," she added.

While not much has been revealed yet, Hanh will be joined by Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia. Meanwhile, "WandaVision" actors such as Emma Caulfield and Debra Jo Rupp will reportedly reprise their roles.

"Agatha: Darkhold Diaries" is set to hit Disney+ in the fall of 2024, following the delay after two consecutive Hollywood strikes.
