Like a Dragon Gaiden Features New English VA for Kiryu Kazuma

The English dub for the new Like a Dragon Gaiden  has been a hot topic in gaming communities in the past month after the studio announced a change in the English voice actor cast.

YouTuber and voice actor Yong Yea was announced to be the new voice for the game's main protagonist Kiryu Kazuma in the English dub, replacing the Yakuza's longtime VA Darryl Kurylo.

Kurylo previously voiced SEGA's number one mobster in the first Yakuza game and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Several users have expressed doubts about Yea's ability to translate the talent of Takaya Kuroda, Kazuma's Japanese voice actor, into English.

Footages of the YouTuber's impersonations of the Yakuza character did not impress many audiences of the game.

The update will come before the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the next installment in the main series, on Jan. 26 next year.
