Leaked documents show that Insomniac and Marvel are contracted to make X-Men games as PlayStation exclusives until 2035.

These include the Wolverine game that was also leaked to release in 2025, as well as two unnamed titles set in the same universe.

More footage of the unreleased game was shown in the leak, including images of Logan wearing his iconic yellow-and-brown suit in the comics.

The deal was made to ensure a "competitive advantage" over the franchise. This means X-Men characters like Wolverine will only be able to appear in PlayStation games or as cameos in other Marvel games.

Furthermore, Sony is expected to spend at least $120 million on each of these titles. The other two X-Men games are supposedly scheduled to be released in 2029 and 2033.

The deal was inked by Isaac Perlmutter, Marvel Entertainment's chairperson, and Sony president Jim Ryan.

Hackers Dumps 1.67TB of Leaked Insomniac Games Documents, Internal Data

Aside from the Wolverine game, Rhysida - the hackers responsible for the cyberattack - also leaked several employee data and in-company conversations, Cyber Daily reported.

The 1.67 terabyte of leaked documents show passports from employees, HR documents, screenshots of Slack channels, and even computer content of several staff members.

Other documents revealed more planned Insomniac Games title, including Spider-Man 3 and a new Ratchet & Clank game.

The data was uploaded in three parts on Rhysida's site.

Rhysida earlier auctioned the documents for $2 million but no one offered any bids, including Sony.

Sony earlier launched an investigation on the ransomware attack but has yet to release its findings.

The group was also responsible for the ransomware attack on the British Library in November.

When asked for the motive of their attacks, a Rhysida spokesperson said it was all about the money and that "we knew that developers making games like this would be an easy target."

The hackers hinted at an inside work, recommending Sony to launch an investigation "in the backyard."
