Call of Duty Detects Aim Assist Tools for Cheating

In an X post, Call of Duty introduced its new method for detecting cheaters, specifically those who use aim assist with a mouse and keyboard. Once detected, the game will automatically be closed.

Moreover, the game warned that repeated use of cheating tools could lead to further account action such as temporary suspension or account banning.

However, some gamers are not completely pleased with the announcement, citing that it was too vague of an instruction. In addition, some replies also called out the game for being "soft on cheaters."

Cheating on Call of Duty

Cheating is a common issue for online multiplayer games like Call of Duty. Activision has been actively experimenting with various ways to detect and eliminate cheating on the game.

Despite the continuous effort, cheaters are not completely ejected from the game. Aside from system-activated detection, players are also advised to report suspected cheaters.

In addition, players are also reminded to avoid using third-party software that could potentially affect their gameplay and be flagged as cheaters.

The recent announcement also hinted that the cheating detection system will also be implemented in Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and Warzone.
