New Indiana Jones Game to Combine First-Person With Third-Person Elements

MachineGames is known for developing FPS games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. However, during the game introduction, it was revealed that the new game is primarily a first-person game and will only incorporate some third-person elements.

This means that players will play through the eyes of the protagonist, enjoying most of the gameplay in first-person view. On the other hand, the environmental traversal and cutscenes will be shown in third-person view.

"What will you do when you're dropped into this adventure with your wits and your whip? The world of Indiana Jones is a world with mysteries around every corner, where you're racing against the clock and outsmarting your enemies as you hunt down artifacts," design director, Jens Andersson stated.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is set in 1937 between the events of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "The Last Crusade." Players will embark on a journey as Indy as they go on a global adventure to solve the mystery of the Great Circle.

What to Expect in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle

Players will be subjected to various actions ranging from melee combat, gunplay, and even puzzle solving. According to MachineGames, the players will given different options to tackle each situation in the game.

Fans can also expect the appearance of deadly Indiana Jones-style elaborate traps. Meanwhile, some puzzles will be optional to solve but are encouraged to do so.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is scheduled to be released this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game will also be available on day one on Game Pass.
