Ace Attorney Franchise History

Capcom first introduced Phoenix Wright as the Ace Attorney in 20201. The game became a hit on Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. Over the years, the franchise expanded and introduced other protagonists aside from Phoenix.

In 2007, Apollo Justice was introduced as a defense attorney who trained under Phoenix. Meanwhile, The Great Ace Attorney series acted as the prequel spin-off of the game, featuring Phoenix's ancestry, Ryusoke Naruhodo.

Aside from video games, the Ace Attorney franchise also gave birth to manga adaptations, anime series, and a  live-action film. Gamers who are interested in crime-solving and courtroom drama are the main audience of the franchise.
