PlayStation State of Play 2024

State of Play is a series of online presentations by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The event aims to provide updates and announcements to PlayStation games. Fans are also expected to get the first look at game trailers, gameplay, and more.

Last year, the presentation was done in September and it focused mainly on smaller and indie PS5 game titles, along with Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Hence, fans are expecting to see more PS5 game titles from third-party devs this 2024.

In an X post, XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker shared a cryptic message, leading the community to decode that the presentation will air around January 31.

What to Expect in State of Play 2024

Based on Baker's post, fans are guessing that the potential games to be announced are: Rise of Ronin, Death Stranding 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Sonic Generations remaster, Silent Hill 2, new Metro game, Judas, and Until Dawn remaster.

Fans of Death Stranding are also speculating at the possibility of Sony holding a preview for the movie alongside the game announcement. Likewise, Until Dawn is also set for a movie adaptation.

Sony is known for hosting at least three to four State of Play events each year and if the event becomes real on January 31, the next presentation could be sometime in spring 2024.
