Google Pledges €25 Million

On February 12th, Google announced that it opened applications for social enterprises and non-profits that can help people who would greatly benefit from training. The program already has initial funding with Google's pledge, which amounts to around $36.2 million.

Executive Director of the Centre for Public Impact and contributor to the non-profit program, Adrian Brown expressed that research "shows that the benefits of AI could exacerbate existing inequalities, especially in terms of economic security and employment."

Google has also expanded its AI training courses and now supports 18 languages, which can help with its ultimate goal of helping people across Europe expand their knowledge, skills, and confidence around AI, "ensuring that no one is left behind," as per The Business Times.
