10 The Last of Us 2 Scenes We Want to See in the Live-Action Series

The filming of the live-action adaptation's second season has already begun, which makes us wonder which scenes from the game will be included or changed to better suit the media format. With the upcoming "The Last of Us" season rumored to be split into two, fewer scenes might be cut out of the adaptation, meaning we'll be seeing more of the sequel come to life.

1. Abby's Interaction With Her Father

When we saw Joel murder the doctor who was supposed to operate on Ellie's brain, it didn't trigger much sadness because he was nothing more than another character in Joel's way. However, finding out that he was Abby's father and seeing how much of a loving parent he was, his death becomes heavier for viewers and players alike, making it easier to sympathize with Abby.

2. Dina Berating Tommy

Ellie, despite living the life she deserved on a farm with Dina, was still haunted by the death of Joel, When Tommy came along with a lead on Abby, she grew more determined to continue her search. Dina, on the other hand, knew that revenge would lead to nothing good and confronted Tommy for being upset over Ellie's reluctance, showing more of how protective she could be.

3. Ellie Singing 'Take On Me'

All of the scenes listed here are fixed encounters except for this. If the player had not explored the music store with Dina, they might not have found the guitar that triggers this scene. Regardless, it's one of the most heartwarming moments in the game. Adding this would show viewers the pure admiration on Dina's face as Ellie plays the guitar and sings the song.

4. Abby Getting the Medical Supplies With Lev

Abby and Lev are arguably the parallel of Joel and Ellie, so seeing her and Lev together makes players want her to survive even more. This scene also shows that Abby, despite being painted as the villain by many fans, is not actually bad in nature. She just wanted justice for the death of her father.

5. Split-Second Flashback of Joel

There were a lot of flashbacks of Joel in the game. This particular one wasn't very lengthy but played a very important part. As Ellie was drowning Abby on the beach, an image of Joel popped into her mind, prompting her to one of the most controversial plot points in the game. She decides to let Abby live so she can take Lev out of there.

6. Slow Dancing in Jackson

Ellie and Dina's relationship might have been turbulent in many scenes, but this is perhaps one of the most innocent of them all. It shows Ellie going from admiring Dina from a distance to dancing with her and learning that Dina likes her as well in just a matter of minutes. Of course, we also see Joel intervening after Seth's homophobic remarks.

7. Ellie's Encounter With Owen and Mel

The Last of Us Part 2 is full of morally ambiguous scenes and interactions, and while the Aquarium scene where Ellie kills Owen and Mel was wrong because of the latter's pregnancy, she didn't find out until Owen told her and Mel was already dead. She also intended to let them live until Owen attempted to kill her.

8. Coming Back to the Farm

Players already expected Dina to be long gone by the time Ellie returned to the farm, but that didn't make matters less painful. The scene shows that Ellie will now be facing her biggest fear, which is being completely alone. Although sad, it was a necessary scene as it shows that revenge really doesn't lead to any good.

9. Ellie and Joel's Flashback Conversation

As Ellie explores the house and finds the guitar Joel gave her, a flashback scene triggers, showing us a conversation Joel and Ellie had after the slow dance scene in Jackson. In the conversation, we learn that Joel supports Ellie's feelings for Dina and that Ellie told Joel that she was willing to try to forgive him for what he did in the hospital.

10. Losing What Joel Taught

As if everything was not already painful enough, players have to play the guitar after Ellie already lost her fingers during her final fight with Abby. With her pinky and ring finger gone, she could no longer play most chords on the guitar, losing one of the things that Joel taught her out of love.
