MWC 2024: Honor Releases AI-Powered Magic 6 Pro Smartphone

Honor, a China-based technology company, launched its new Magic 6 Pro smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. 

The new smartphone boasted various AI capabilities, including an experimental eye-tracking AI function allowing users to open and move their cars by looking at their phone screen.

Honor Jumps Into Generative AI Hype With Magic 6 Pro 

Mobile developers and manufacturers are expected to launch various devices emphasizing the power of generative AI on smartphones at the MWC 2024. The AI eye-tracking feature is one of the many AI tools that will be featured in the event. 

According to reports, Magic 6 Pro's eye-tracking AI function is already available in China but Honor is already working to offer it commercially in other countries. In addition, the company is also looking forward to globally integrating its LLM into its phone. 

The Magic 6 Pro is offered in two colors: Epi Green and Black. It is also equipped with a 50MP ultra-HD image for its ultra-wide angle camera, a 50MP HONOR Falcon camera, and a 180MP Periscope Telephoto. 

The phone is also powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Moreover, Honor used its flagship Honor C1+ enhanced chip and Honor Discrete Security Chip S1, ensuring connection and privacy for users. 

Honor Introduces MagicBook Pro 16 Laptop,  Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR

Honor also announced its new laptop called MagicBook Pro 16 which comes with an AI feature that can move applications between devices. This tool will allow users to transfer apps from an Android phone to a Windows PC using a single drag. 

The Porshe Design Honor Magic V2 RSR, a special edition of the Magic V2 foldable, also made an appearance at the MWC. The new phone is equipped with higher specs and a specialized design. 

The Magic 6 Pro will retail around $1,407 for 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphone will also be globally available by March 1. Meanwhile, the Porche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR will cost around $2,625 for 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The upgraded V2 foldable will start shipping by March 18.
