Verizon HTC One 2014 sells on eBay ahead of official debut, listing confirms specs

The All New HTC One (2014) is yet to make its official debut, but somehow it already ended up for sale on eBay.

HTC didn't do a very good job in keeping its 2014 flagship smartphone under wraps. The HTC One successor has leaked extensively so far, appearing in various press renders, spec sheets, and even a hands-on video.

With so many details about the 2014 HTC One flagship already leaked, all HTC has left is to officially announce the smartphone on March 25, then put it on sale. As it turns out, however, the handset apparently went on sale more than a week before its official debut.

A 2014 HTC One for Verizon Wireless has somehow already sold for $499.99 on eBay, and the listing confirmed the previously rumored specifications.

According to the listing, which now appears as "ended," the new HTC One comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset sports a 5-inch full HD display, HTC BoomSound dual front stereo speakers, as well as the much-rumored twin cameras on the back. The listing further mentions microSD card support for up to 128GB of additional memory.

The dual camera system delivers HTC's UltraPixel technology across two rear shooters. Details include a BSI sensor with 2.0um pixel size and f/2.0, 28mm lens, HTC ImageChip 2 and HDR video capabilities. The listing doesn't mention how many megapixels grace the cameras. The smartphone also boasts a 5-megapixel BSI front camera with HDR support, as well as wide-angle lens. HTC's popular Zoe feature is also on board.

The original HTC One (2013) comes with a 4-megapixel rear camera that HTC touted to offer a superior experience due to its UltraPixel technology, and the new flagship smartphone is expected to come with notable improvements in the camera department. HTC recently released a teaser video for the new HTC One's camera capabilities, but didn't offer any real details.

Despite the extensive leaks, however, we won't know anything for sure regarding the HTC One successor until the company officially unveils its latest flagship. The All New HTC One, also dubbed the HTC M8, will debut on March 25 in New York City, so we'll soon hear all about it straight from the source.
