Google One is Launching Referral Program Featuring 75% Discount, Play Store Credit

Google One is preparing a new referral program that will allow users to get up to $25 of Play Store credit while people using the link will get 75% off their first three months of service.

The program is not yet live, but the Google One app on Android has already posted an explanatory page and link.

Google One Promotes Referral Program

Google One launched its referral program in 2018 after the subscription service was announced. Since then, the company has been opening various beneficial programs encouraging users to continue subscribing.

According to the Google One app page, the first five people to sign up using the referral link will be entitled to a 75% discount off their first three months on the service. Each successful subscription will reward the link owner with $5.

However, it seems that the program is only limited to up to five people as the page explicitly puts a cap of up to $25 as a maximum credit to earn.

How Google One Referral Program Affects Users

Once the new referral program pushes through, new users can experience a good deal by paying only 25% for the first three months of service, especially if they subscribe to the 10TB, 20TB and 30TB plans.

Currently, Google One offers 100GB for $1.99, 200GB for $2.99, 2TB for $9.99, and 5TB for $24.99 per month. Meanwhile, big storages are monthly priced at $49.99 for 10TB, $99.99 for 20TB, and $149.99 for 30TB.

On the other hand, Google also previously launched the Google One AI Premium, which gives access to Gemini Advanced and Gemini through Google Workspace. Users must pay $19.99 per month to get 2TB of services, Google Photos editing tools, premium Workspace, VPN, and more.
