From the Wasteland to Your Screen: Play These 4 Fallout Games Ahead of Series' Premiere

The Fallout game series is one of the most successful post-apocalyptic-themed games. The series has been praised for its storytelling and world-building elements, resulting in its decades of run.

In 2024, Bethesda will be opening a new way to experience the Wasteland by premiering the "Fallout" TV series on Amazon Prime Video.

The game is set in Washington D.C. with the player adopting the role of Lone Wanderer. The main quest will involve finding the father that mysteriously disappeared. Players would also discover the secrets of the family's past while trying to survive against the dangers of the wasteland.

Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas is a spin-off from the same universe as Fallout 3 but features a different storyline and setting. The game takes place between Nevada, California and Arizona, also known as the Mojave Wasteland.

Players will take the role of Courier, who was previously shot in the head while carrying a mysterious package. The game will focus on tracking down the one responsible for the incident. There are also secrets in the Courier's past that must be unveiled while navigating the power struggle in the Mojave Wasteland.

Fallout 4

The "Fallout" show will take place only nine years apart from the events of Fallout 4, making it a relevant gameplay before watching the show. The game is set in Boston, Massachusetts, also known as the Commonwealth.

In this story, the player will assume the role of Sole Survivor, who is the only survivor from Vault 111. Despite the survival through cryogenic stasis, his spouse was murdered while their child was kidnapped.

The game will revolve around trying to find the missing child. In addition, Sole Survivor must also reveal the secrets of a mysterious organization called Institute.

Fallout 76

Fallout 76 takes place in the Appalachian region of West Virginia. The location is known for its open world populated by mutants, hostile robots, and remnants of human civilization.

For this game, Bethesda has abandoned the early concept of Fallout games that focused on a single-player narrative. Fallout 76 allows multiplayer gameplay, making it easier to complete quests and engage in activities with other players.

The main storyline of the game is focused on uncovering the secrets of the region, finding out the fate of Vault 76, and what lies behind the mysterious Scorched Plague that threatens the place.
