Ars Technica later reported that the issue also extends to Java software, making several apps on the MacBook unable to be launched, specifically those that run with PACE anti-piracy software.

According to the users who experienced the problems, the issue was not present before the devices were updated to macOS 14.4.

Apple has yet to add the recent issues in its macOS update in the problems listed in its security updates, which notably has grown with each OS version.
