Pokemon GO Bug Out Event is Making a Comeback on April 12

Pokemon GO is finally bringing back its special Bug Out event wherein players will have the opportunity to catch Bug-type Pokemon, this April 12.

The AR mobile game is known for hosting a variety of seasonal events, along with some annual events repeating only once every year.

Pokemon GO Bug Out 2024 Details

The Bug Out event will be open to players until April 17 and will give out event bonuses to players. This includes twice XP for successfully catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better, increased Candy, increased Candy XL, and Increased chance to encounter Shiny Combee and Shiny Burmy.

In addition, players will have a higher opportunity to encounter specific Pokemon in the wild. Caterpie, Weedle, Shuckle, Wurmple, Kricketot, Combee, Sewaddle, and Dwebble will appear more frequently. Meanwhile, Nincada and Cutiefly will only appear to some Trainers.

Pokemon GO also released an event guideline for Trainers that will complete a raid. For instance, Pineco might appear in one-star raids and Beedrill for three-star raids. On the other hand, Tapu Bulu will appear on five-star raids while Mega Charizard X and Mega Heracross can only be found on Mega raids.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Releases Avatar Items

Aside from the event proper, exclusive avatar items related to Bug Out will be available to purchase in the in-game shop once the event starts.

Players can avail of Burmy earrings which come in three variants: Plant Cloak, Sandy Cloak, and Trash Cloak. In addition, Combee-inspired bags will be available for both female and male players.

The Bug Out event also comes with Field Research tasks and prizes depending on the completion of the players. Moreover, event-themed Collection Challenges will also be available which will allow players to get a certain Bug-type Pokemon.
