Meta Builds AI Assistant With Llama 3

Meta AI was first introduced last year by the company during the Meta Connect event. The AI assistant is powered by the company's latest Meta Llama 3 advancement to ensure that it's smarter, faster, and more efficient than before.

The AI assistant is available across Meta's social media platform. Users can search in Messenger for the information needed by asking Meta AI to perform tasks without leaving the app. For WhatsApp, Meta announced that it has started to roll out the beta version of the image generation feature from text in the U.S.

Aside from its social media apps, Meta AI is also rolling out on PC under the meta.ai website. Users can log in to save the conversations with the AI assistant for future reference.

How Meta AI Works in Social Media

Meta AI allows users to access real-time information across the web without needing to close or jump between apps. For Messenger, users can simply ask Meta AI for needed information.

Likewise, asking Meta AI is also possible when scrolling on Facebook. Users can ask the AI assistant for more information about the post. In addition, images generated by Meta AI can be animated or turned into GIFs through a simple prompt.

"We're excited to share our next-generation assistant with even more people and can't wait to see how it enhances people's lives," Meta announced.

Meta AI will also be available in the U.S. on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and Meta Quest. The company also shared that more information will be revealed in the following weeks.
