Arrow smartwatch boasts 360-degree rotating camera – Check it out (VIDEO)

Smartwatches are on the rise and a promising new gadget is popping up: the new Arrow smartwatch, which boasts a 360-degree rotating camera.

The new Arrow smartwatch may not have a heavy brand such as Samsung, LG, or Apple behind it, but it's nonetheless quite exciting and it sports some very neat features.

The gadget has a high-definition 8-megapixel camera lens embedded into its bezel, allowing users to enjoy a unique camera functionality compared to what other smartwatches currently have to offer.

"The world's first smartwatch with a 360 degree rotating camera. Simply rotate the bezel to point the camera in the direction of your choice," Arrow touts. "With a high definition camera stylishly integrated inside the bezel of the watch, there is no need to use your phone to capture the best moments of your life."

In addition to the 8-megapixel rotating shooter with auto focus, the Arrow smartwatch also packs a microphone and speaker and allows for seamless connections via Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The watch also comes with wireless charging support for more convenience, and is also equipped with advanced sensors to help users keep track of their activities.

One would be able to use the Arrow smartwatch as a fitness tracker with a heart-rate monitor and a step counter built-in, as well as to make and receive calls, take photos, see notifications, control the music player, get GPS directions, post updates on social media, and more.

"Arrow transcends the ordinary by fusing sleek design with revolutionary patent pending technology. The idea was to create a smartwatch that would redefine the boundaries of the wearables industry, while appealing to the aesthetically inclined and connoisseurs of exceptional timepieces."

In terms of design, Arrow will go down the same road as the Moto 360 and come with a round-shaped touchscreen, covered with sapphire glass for extra resistance. The watch is expected to have a 1.61-inch display, but the resolution remains unconfirmed for now. On the software side, Arrow is considering Google's new Android OS.

While the Arrow smartwatch seems to have a trick or two up its sleeve, it remains to be seen how it will be able to compete in the ever-growing smartwatch market. The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live just launched with Google's latest Android Wear OS on board, the Moto 360 is expected to launch later this summer, while Apple is perfecting its iWatch and making high-profile hires ahead of a launch later this year.

The Arrow smartwatch is still under development for now, and currently no information is available regarding its release. Nevertheless, you can check out the video below to see it in action and learn more about it.
