Google Nexus 9 owners who want to protect their tablet can now purchase a Keyboard Folio case straight from the Google Play store.

The Nexus 9 is one of the hottest devices of this year and comes as a high-end tablet with impressive specs and features all around. It also marks the revival of a collaboration between Google and HTC, and it arrives as the very first tablet to rock the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

At the same time, with all of those high-end specs, the very latest OS version, and the Nexus experience that guarantees timely updates as soon as a new Android update is out, the Nexus 9 is not exactly cheap.

A top-notch device, more often than not, requires quite a hefty investment, and many may feel the need to protect that investment. For such instances, special cases for the Nexus 9 aim to protect the device while also offering neat functionality to improve the overall experience.

The Nexus 9 comes with a unique size and form factor, and is the first Nexus device to have a non-widescreen aspect ratio. This makes it a bit harder to use existing keyboard cases, as many are not suitable for this tablet.

This Keyboard Folio case for the Nexus 9 attaches magnetically, offers two display positions, pairs via Bluetooth 4.0 or NFC, and at the same time offers a neat keyboard with a dedicated Google Search key.

It's worth pointing out, however, that that the Keyboard Folio is available exclusively in a black leather model, at least for now. This means that those with Lunar White or Sand models (the latter has still not become available) of the Nexus 9 don't have a case to match the color option just yet.
