AirDroid 3 is now better than ever, brings native desktop app (VIDEO)

AirDroid 3 is officially out and it's better than ever, complete with a new desktop app to make it easier to control your Android device.

Many Android users rely on AirDroid to wirelessly connect their mobile device to their computer, eliminating the need for USB cables. With the latest AirDroid 3 version, new functionality is now available to take things to the next level.

As previously mentioned, AirDroid now comes with a native desktop app that works with Macs and PCs, allowing users to better handle notifications and remotely control their device with more ease.

The desktop app in the new AirDroid 3 comes with a clean interface and better functionality all around, but the biggest addition to this new version of the app comes in the form of AirMirror. This feature allows users to mirror the entire screen of their smartphones on their computer and use the keyboard to type messages and the mouse to tap on fields and buttons. This way, users can reply to WhatsApp messages, for instance, straight from their computer. All WhatsApp notifications will pop up on your desktop thanks to AirMirror, and just clicking on them will allow you to reply without needing to touch your smartphone.

It's worth pointing out, however, that AirMirror is still in beta for now, and it only works with rooted devices at this point.

Aside from this AirMirror beta feature, the new AirDroid 3 also comes with a neat Notification Mirror function that displays real-time alerts of your handset's notification from apps, while also allowing you to control their behavior.

Lastly, the new desktop app also borrows all of the popular features and functionality of the web version, offering the same powerful and reliable software to control your Android device. Users can easily transfer files, view photos, watch videos, or check any other content from their smartphone without attaching any cable for the connection.

The latest AirDroid 3 update is now available for Android smartphones and tablets through the Google Play store at this link, while the desktop version is available for download here.
