The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man editions will make their official debut next week, reveals a new company teaser.
News about Iron Man-themed versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge started to surface earlier this month, and Samsung itself confirmed such plans and started teasing the special editions. At the time, the company said it will release the Iron Man editions sometime in late May or early June, as it still had some things to sort out with Marvel before bringing the products to market.
Samsung has been teasing its Galaxy S6 Iron Man recently, and the latest teaser now reveals that the launch is set for some time next week. No exact release date is available at this point, but the Avengers-themed model will hit the market in just a few days.
The new teaser appears on Samsung's official Facebook page, touting that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Iron Man Edition is "coming next week." The company also posted a photo to offer a glimpse into what this new version will look like, boasting the red and golden accents color combination of the Iron Man suit and the design of the hero's helmet.
Other than the Iron Man-themed design, these special editions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to pack the exact same specifications as their regular counterparts. On the software side, however, the Iron Man editions of the handsets should come pre-loaded with some special Avengers content.
It remains unclear at this point just when exactly next week the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Editions will hit the market, or how much they will cost when they do. At the same time, it also remains to be seen which markets will get these special versions, as Samsung will most likely launch the Iron Man Edition in limited quantities and only in select markets. Considering that the latest teaser came from Samsung Mobile Korea, the Iron Man Galaxy S6 might hit the company's home country first.
