A New Apple TV May Debut This September

Apple's TV streaming device, the Apple TV, may have its debut this Sept. If the rumors are true, the gadget will share the stage with the latest iPhone. Apple has a habit of launching its smartphones in Sept. The device has originally been set for a June release, in the company's developers' conference. At that time, Apple TV and the subscription were not ready for the launch.

The news has first been delivered by Buzzfeed, saying sources familiar with the company's plans have told them about the new release date. The site has also announced news of the June release in March, accompanied by features of the new Apple TV. A TV subscription, however, will not be rolled out with the device on its debut just about one month away from now.

The small black box that streams TV shows is equipped with an A8 chip, which is a powerful technology used in many Apple devices these days. Apple TV will also have a touchpad remote control for improved functionality. Voice assistant Siri will also be integrated into the device.

Venturebeat has stated in a report that Apple is also talking with TV content owners and makers to put up a bundle for TV shows and movies for Apple TV. Details of the negotiations are still being ironed out by the parties involved. The company is also planning to work on a new video streaming device, which was supposedly intended to be part of the new Apple TV.

Buzzfeed said that the Apple TV App will also make a debut in the App Store. The app has long been awaited by many who have been requesting for it. A development kit also comes with the roll out.

Apple TV has not been updated over the past three years. The improvements are set to boost the device's hold on the market, even in the absence of the subscription. By the time the most requested internet TV streaming subscription is offered, Apple TV may have solidified its position on the streaming device market.
