Apple Watch Reveals New Apple Watch Hermes

Luxury brand lovers must have been waiting for this, although avid tech fans, especially those of Apple's, may not have counted it as a major announcement in the Apple event. The Cupertino tech giant has tied up with luxury brand Hermes to come up with its newest collection for the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Hermes.

The new collection offers the smartwatch that comes with distinctive Hermes-designed leather bands. According to Indian Express, the Hermes bands for the Apple Watch come in three different styles: the Single Tour, Double Tour and the Cuff. The stainless steel casing for the watches in the collection are engraved with the designer brand's signature.

Prices of the Apple Watch Hermes vary depending on the casing size and band combination. The smartwatches start at $1,100 for the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour and $1,150 for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour. For the Double Tour, it costs $1,250 for the 38 mm stainless steel case. The priciest is at $1,500 for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Cuff.

The Single Tour and Double Tour bands wrap around the wrist, while the Cuff sports a thicker band design. Engadget has posted a gallery of the new collection on its report. Apple has reportedly lauched Hermes watch faces to match the bands. But for the Apple Watch, the fancy new bands are not all there is for the device's fans. The company also showed new silicone bands under the Sport style.

Apart from the bands, the company will also be releasing the new operating system for the Apple Watch, the watchOS 2.0. The new OS brings apps from iPhones to the smartwatch, indicating that one can use the apps even without the iPhone at hand. The new watchOS 2.0 will be released on Sept 16.
