Verizon And AT&T Stores Go To Best Buy

Telecommunications companies can be many things all at the same time, especially at the present day. The competition among devices and services is centered on how each will be able to deliver more of the customer's needs and demands fast. Two of the U.S. top names in telecommunications are out to do just that, by announcing an extended presence at one of the country's best-known retailers, Best Buy.

According to a Dispatch Times article on the matter, Verizon has announced that the company will be bringing in an improved Verizon Experience to Best Buy customers. The Verizon Experience stores will cater to buyers of wireless devices and services. The two carriers operating together may enable Best Buy to gain more profit. The retailer will be training Verizon Experience shop operators to better accommodate customers and give them a great experience in shopping at Best Buy.

"The Verizon Experience in Best Buy is geared to showcase connected lifestyles such as wearable tech, computing on the go and connected home and the devices and plans that make these lifestyles a reality", said Verizon's national distribution vice president, John Colaiuti.

AT&T, on the other hand, will also be having mini-stores set up in Best Buy branches all over the United States. The arrival of the AT&T shops at Best Buy will soon come with the company's DirecTV service, which it will sell through the retailer. Andy Shibley of AT&T suggests that the front of the mini store will be displayed with mostly mobile devices like tablets, smartphones and wearables.

According to Engadget, Best Buy has 250 chains in the U.S. dedicated for the two companies, and both AT&T and Verizon will be coming to the Best Buy branches by the end of the year. The small shops will range from 90 to 180 square feet. In most cases, both Verizon and AT&T will occupy the same Best Buy branches.

Similar deals have been struck by tech giants Apple, Microsoft and Samsung to attract customers without the companies having to spend money on independent store fronts for themselves.
