Atlus Set To Reveal Brand New Title Soon

One of the most anticipated sequels to Persona 5 may have been pushed back to summer of next year, but the fifth installment to the massive hit franchise is not the only thing Atlus has in its sleeve. The company has been busy working once again with 'VanillaWare' to remake one of its Playstation 2 classics, namely Odin Sphere.

Their next collaboration also involves a new game of what is supposed to be of the mecha genre, entitled 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. However, it does not stop there as Siliconera reports that the company is about to 'reveal a brand new title very soon' in addition to their latest game announcements.

It is still unclear if the brand new title would be a new IP or a sequel to one of its popular franchises. The fifth installment of Shin Megami Tensei, a spin-off to Persona, a new game for Raidou Kuzunoha and a Sonic RPG are some of the guesses by its fans. Thus, it is assumed that at this point, it could really be anything from those options.

According to an interview with Atlus CEO Naoto Hiraoka and SEGA representative Yukio Sugino, a new title is soon to be announced and a future game is already in development.

"I believe we'll be able to announce 'that title' soon," says Hiraoka. "At the moment, we've even begun development on a title that will be released in three years time." Additionally, a brand new IP in the veins of Catherine and Dragon's Crown is being developed as well.

To add, Atlus also announced a Persona 5 anime during the Persona Special Stage at the event. There are no confirmations yet however about the details of the plot. Whether it would be similar to the Persona anime or it will act as a prologue short is still unclear.
