iPhone 6S Has More RAM And Less Battery

The hype for the new iPhone 6S has not wind down yet, almost three weeks after it has been launched in the Apple event. The days leading to the tech giant's launch of its new handsets have seen the internet buzzing about the latest iPhone's specs and prices, and also weighing in on the pros and cons of the new device.

The Cupertino-based company has not revealed how much RAM is packed on the new iPhone model. To put speculations to rest, repair firm iFixit has opened an iPhone 6S model and has revealed that the handset packs in twice as much RAM as its predecessor, at 2GB. This is good news for iPhone 6S users.

The dampener, however, is that the device has smaller battery capacity than the preceding iPhone model. According to IBN Live, while the iPhone 6 has a battery capacity of 1,810 mAh, the iPhone 6S is equipped with just 1,715 mAh, which is a downgrade. The battery capacity is said to have been compromised because of te new 3D Force Touch display feature, which can distinguish among three degrees of pressure.

Having bigger RAM is usually indicative of better performance, and the new device is said to be faster than the iPhone 6. Users do not need to reload pages again and again upon opening them. Also, switching from one app to another is easier. But the battery life is compensated by the more efficient processor, so it stays the same as before.

The new iPhone 6S has been much-awaited by Apple fans all over the world. The device has been launched in the Apple launching event held in San Francisco on Sept. 9. The new iPhone model has been launched alongside the iPad Pro, also much-hyped because of its new features that are designed to support multitasking. The iPhone 6S has garnered mixed reviews and was rated 7 out of 10 in repairability by iFixit.
