Microsoft Lumia 950 And Lumia 950 XL Leaks Confirm Both Handsets and Specifications

Microsoft is all set for it's October 6th event in New York City, and signs all point out that the Redmond-based company is about to release two new flagship caliber smartphones alongside the Surface Pro 4 and another Windows phone for the masses. Recent leaks have once again surfaced, confirming that both handsets do exist together with specifications.

Recently, a batch of slides from an internal Microsoft presentation have been posted by Forever Nokia Latinoamerica on the group's Facebook page. The images confirm that both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are indeed existing, and their specs sheets are just what the rumors suggest.

The Lumia 950 features a 5.2WQHD OLED display. In its core is a Snapdragon 808, 64-bit chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that's expandable via microSD card. It comes with an Iris Scanner for Windows Hello, and its snappers go with a 20MP PureView primary shooter with double LED flash while a 5MP wide-angle shooter stands upfront. The battery goes with a 3000mAh rating, and it will feature Qi wireless charging plus USB Type-C.

The Lumia 950 XL comes bigger with its 5.7" WQHD OLED display. It's powered with a Snapdragon 810 64-bit chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that's also expandable via microSD card. Iris Scanner is also onboard, and the specifications of the cameras are basically the same with the Lumia 950 save for the triple LED flash setup. The battery rating goes with 3300mAh, with Qi wireless charging and USB Type-C onboard as well.

Both handsets will come in Matte White or Black Polycarbonate shell, with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 adding a layer of protection atop the display. And a well received feature loved in the Lumia handsets, Glance, is also onboard.

Besides both handsets, the slides also showcased the Continuum dock with the codename 'Munchkin.' It will be used to transform a Windows 10 phone into a PC. According to the leak, Microsoft will be including a Continuum dock in both the 950 and 950 XL as a limited promotion in some countries.
