Huawei Signs Partnership Agreement With Salam Technology

Huawei is looking into expanding its hold on the international technology market as it made Salam Technology its new partner. The Qatar-based company will be a tier-one Value Added Partner of the Chinese tech company that will focus on providing customer support and post-sales services.

Huawei has become increasingly popular in the smartphone business, introducing mobile devices that also have a steady following outside China and Taiwan. The company has also released a smartwatch which has been met with positive responses upon its release. Most recently, the company has announced a new partnership agreement with an international IT company.

According to a report from Albawaba, Salam Technology will be responsible for providing Huawei with Servers, Storage and Unified Communications solution. Apart from those, the company will also be providing Huawei with data centre facilities in Qatar.

"Huawei's commitment to the regional Enterprise ICT sector is impressive and its wide product portfolio makes it a perfect partner for Salam Technology's growth, due to our reputation and expertise in delivering customer centric IT technologies for enterprises across the GCC," Salam Technology managing director Mamoud El Deeb said.

Huawei, on the other hand will be providing training and development services to Salam Technology, which it can utilize to come up with solutions for infrastructure and other necessary technological developments in the city. "We look forward to learning from Huawei's specialized training initiatives that will help us better sell its converged ICT solutions to our customer network," El Deeb added.

Salam Technology boasts of more than thirty years of experience in offering expert IT solutions. The company specializes in telecommunications and audiovisual as well, among other areas, apart from IT. The deal is a step towards expanding Huawei's partnerships in the Middle East, a region in which Chinese tech companies are currently aiming to build a solid following.
