Tesla Adds iPhone Cases To Its Online Store

Tesla Motor's prestigious name is more recognized in the world of electric vehicles, but as of today, the American automotive company is expanding its line of offerings. It updates its online store with new apparels and accessories made from unused seat leather from its cars -- designed to cater to iPhone users.

The update in Tesla Motor's website will come weeks before Christmas, and the company's latest offerings include cases and wallet-cases for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6S Plus. Similar to other luxury automakers, Tesla Motor's new products came from automotive-grade leather that are leftovers from making the interior of its cars. Tesla as a brand has made its reputation in resource awareness, and expanding its ideals to other products is an interesting way to promote its advocacy.

Customers will be able to acquire an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6S leather case for US$45, and the same price goes with the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6S Plus despite being a larger device. Furthermore, adding US$5 on top of that price will get customers two credit card slots in the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6S leather case, and three for the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6S Plus leather cases.

Tesla Motors isn't known to update its collection more often, and the last update it made was last year with the company's line of travel bags, gloves and purses. As such, we can consider that the new iPhone cases as a significant addition to the company's "Design Collection."

Furthermore, Tesla's wallet-cases also offer a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) blocking to protect its users from possible security risks.

Currently, Tesla is also offering a touchscreen-friendly leather gloves that will go well with the new iPhone cases. Both the leather gloves for men and women feature a US$100 price tag, and they could be perfect accessories for winter.
