'Star Wars' Day Starts A Week-Long Discount On Many 'Star Wars' Games

Say "May the 4th Be With You" to all! May 4 is Star Wars Day, a special day for fans around the world as they celebrate the beloved franchise created by George Lucas.  The celebration also brings out the best deals on a lot of Star Wars games from many online stores.

Obi-Wan Kenobi's saying "May the Force be with you" in "Star Wars" is a household phrase. A well-known saying that started an unofficial annual occasion for fans of the "Star Wars" saga. As fans celebrate their love for the franchise, businesses have joined the party by offering up some of the best deals on "Star Wars" products, and for game lovers, a week-long sale on many "Star Wars" games.

Polygon reports that GOG.com celebrates with the fans by offering bundles of games with discounts of up to 80 percent. The re-release of the 1996 "Star Wars" game, "Shadow of the Empire," will be available on GOG this week for the first time, with 20 percent discount on its list price.

Fans will also enjoy ridiculous price drops on games like "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" 3D (58 percent discount) and "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" (77 percent discount). The former title is included in the Blaster Bundle, and eight-game collection for $30.16, while the latter is included in the nine-game collection Saber Bundle that costs $20.15. Gamespot has listed "Star Wars"-related games that are on sale at various online stores

"Star Wars" is expected to dominate this week's game world as a lot of "Star Wars" games are already on sale at Steam, Play Station Store, GOG and other sales platforms. If one owns a PS4, PS3, Vita or PSP one may find something that he/she might want to play. The most important day for "Star Wars" fans has arrived, and the massive "Star Wars" gaming deals goes on until May 8.
