The maker of luxury cars, Bentley, has released a brand new Apple Watch application that allows Bentayga SUV passengers to control their car from their wrists.

The Bentayga Apple Watch app connects to the SUV system using Bluetooth connectivity. MacRumors reports that the application uses digital architecture in order to sync up the car's Touch Screen Remote (TSR) system with the watchOS application. Once the sync is done, many of the car systems can be controlled from the wrist, via the Apple Watch. 

With the new Apple Watch app, passengers in the lavish Bentayga SUV have the ability to control several car systems. They can control both entertainment and climate systems by using the watch app.

Bentley's Apple Watch app allows users to interact with the car's on-board software, tuning the music up or down, adjusting the temperature in the vehicle, and even activating the seats' massage functions. According to App Advice, users of the Bentley Apple Watch App can also check on car information including temperature outside of the vehicle, distance traveled and current speed.

Dan Whittaker, Director of Electrical and Electronics at Bentley, said that the Bentayga SUV is not only a technologically advanced car but also combines this with luxury in a way particular to Bentley. The new Apple Watch apps' connectivity is just another example of how the company is enhancing the customer experience through innovation.

The big SUV is packing 600hp into a very luxurious wrapper. Prices for Bentley's Bentayga TSR car start at $229,100 but can get much more expensive with options. The app for Apple Watch is free to download.

Slash Gear reports that the luxury Bentayga SUV also offers other exquisite luxury features. For instance, the car can be fitted with a $32,000 leather and aluminum picnic basket that comes complete with holders for the champagne. Customers interested to purchase the car have also the option to get a Naim audio system with 1950 Watts of power and 22 speakers.
