All You Need To Know About Nvidia GeForce 1080

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080 have been announced last week and will be launched on May 27.

According to the website wccftech.com, once among the two upcoming flagship Nvidia graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 1080 will be the high-end solution designed for gamers who seek high resolutions and the best performance in AAA titles. With its new products, Nvidia is also focusing toward virtual reality (VR) gaming.

Both GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 are based on Nvidia's new Pascal microarchitecture. The graphics cards provide high performance at a fair price.

Accroding to Vine Report, the new GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070 have been long awaited by PC owners and rig building enthusiasts for some time now. Over the last weekend, users finally got more insight into the flagship graphics cards powered by Nvidia's new Pascal line of graphics processing units (GPU), when the company released a video detailing the specifications of the new GeForce GTX 1080.

Nvidia's newest graphics card, the GTX 1080, is created with the new Pascal microarchitecture as part of the GeForce 10 series. The device is several steps above previous top GPU GTX Titan X.

According to Nvidia's claims, the 1080 is three times better in power efficiency, faster and it also carries twice the virtual reality (VR) rendering power of the Titan X. Despite its performance, the 1080 will not be much more expensive than the Titan X. The 1080 that is at least twice as powerful as the Titan X will launch for $599, at about half the price.

On the GeForce website, the GTX 1080 section states that the card will feature 8GB GDDR5X memory at 256-bit width and 10Gbps speed. The GTX 1080 is also SLI, VR, SLI and GameStream ready.

Nvidia's flagship graphics card supports multi-projection and is able to display up to 7680 x 4320 pixels at 60 Hz. For temperature and power concerns, the GTX 1080 requires 180 Watts and can sustain temperatures of up to 94 degrees Celsius. The graphics card comes with eight extra power connectors.
