'Rocket League' Is The First Game To Allow Play Across Platforms

People who are fond of cars and soccer will surely find "Rocket League" an interesting game to play. And for PC and Xbox One owners, they are in for a special treat! They can now play the game simultaneously, thanks to the cross-platform feature released by Psyonix.

According to Cinema Blend, this feature is not entirely new to "Rocket League" players. In the past, a cross-platform play was also developed for PlayStation 4 and PC. But now, the fun is spreading its wings a little further, with the inclusion of Xbox One.

It should be noted, however, that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will not be playing in the same room. Psyonix has yet to release an update that allows such union.

Reports suggest that a "Rocket League" cross-platform play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will definitely happen in the next days or months. However, with the game's current version, such feature is just impossible to make.

The Verge, on the other hand, notes that the "Rocket League" cross-platform can be played by Xbox One and PC players via Steam. The publication also states that Xbox One owners, in particular, have since been clamoring for such feature to happen. Interestingly, Microsoft gave the greenlight, making the event possible.

Some time in March, the tech giant announced its plans to enable all cross-platform play between other consoles and its product Xbox One. Microsoft also revealed that "Rocket League" is among the many titles to be blessed with this technology.

Without a doubt, the "Rocket League" cross-platform play between Xbox One and PC is an amazing treat for the game's fan base. But of course, it would be a celebration if such feature is allowed across all platforms including PlayStation 4. This will surely take the "Rocket League" gaming experience into a whole new kind of level -- and will indeed be written in history!
