'Ghost Recon: Wildlands' Second Trailer Released, Special Editions Available

Ubisoft has finally released a sequel trailer for "Ghost Recon: Wildlands." It looks like it will be one of the biggest games out this year. Varied environments and graphics, which blend gameplay and cinematics flawlessly, are just the tip of the iceberg.

It is set in South America, where the ghosts are trying to prevent the total collapse of Bolivia. Swamps, forests, deserts and icy mountain tops are just some of the exotic landscapes gamers will enjoy. Typical South American towns are also featured, including the narcotics traffickers bringing the country to its knees, Game Rant reported.

The trailer is as grounded to reality as it gets. Ubisoft's Vice President of Editorial, Tommy Francois, said that the studio even went to the length of training with elite US Army soldiers for the sake of authenticity. A US Marine even does the voiceover and he stated, rather cryptically, that “We are strangers, far away from home. … We are judges, deciding who will live, and who will die.”

As for the gameplay, it is clear that wide array of vehicles can be used. In fact, up to 60 vehicles can be commandeered. In addition, Ubisoft has announced that several special edition packs will be available, Game Spot noted. The packs are listed below:

Deluxe Edition ($70) – Included in the pack is the Standard Edition and Deluxe Pack with additional Hunstman rifle, motorbike, three emblems, three extra weapon camos, three character customization options, and an XP booster.

Gold Edition ($100) – Included in the pack is the Deluxe Pack and Seasons Pass content. This gives players access to two major expansion packs and more digital content for equipment, exclusive vehicles and even more weapons.

Collector's Edition Standard ($120), Deluxe ($130) and Gold ($160) – Included in the Collector's Edition are a Santa Muerte figurine and posters by Ken Taylor.

Players who pre-order are also eligible for a bonus mission known as "The Peruvian Connection." Players will “embark on a perilous mission among the high mountains of Bolivia to break the alliance between Santa Bianca and the Peruvian Cartels.”

"Ghost Recon: Wildlands" was first unveiled at E3 last year as the series' first open-world game. It has an option to play solo or co-op with 3 other squad members. The game is expected to be available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Watch the trailer below.
