Mazda Fan Offers Advanced Payment for RX-9 Model, Find Out the Car Company 's Reply

One of the hottest concept cars nowadays is the Mazda RX Vision. Some rumors started to spread that Mazda must be planning a sales strategy for the Mazda RX Vision, which is similar to Tesla's Model 3.

The basic gist of the rumor is that the car company would take deposits before production of the vehicle. However, Mazda has categorically denied this, NSEA Voice reported.

In any case, this has not stopped a hopeful fan from inquiring about making a deposit for the Mazda RX Vision. The reply of Mazda was not what was expected but it does give a good sense that Mazda actually cares about their email inbox. Check out their reply to the deposit inquiry below:

Dear ___,

Thank you for contacting Mazda Customer Experience Center.
We appreciate your interest in a future Mazda RX model and while we can confirm that Mazda continues to develop rotary engines, we cannot confirm production of a rotary at this point. Rotaries are one of the signature engineering technologies that define Mazda, and we will continue exploring them to see where they may fit for production applications. While mass production is currently on hold, Mazda has never stopped research and development efforts towards the rotaryengine.

RX-VISION represents a vision of the future that Mazda hopes to one day make into reality; a front-engine,rear-wheel drive sports car with exquisite, KODO design-based proportions only Mazda could envision, and powered by the next-generation SKYACTIV-R rotary engine. Although future models and specifications are not available at this time, you will find the most up-to-date information on our current vehicle lines and accessories on our website, www.mazdausa.com. Additionally, our press releases are available on our media website, www.mazdausamedia.com.

The Mazda RX Vision was first unveiled in Japan last year and, more recently, made an appearance in Concorso d'Eleganza Villa D'Este in Italy. It was among exotic cars like Lamborghinis, Ferraris and others. Still, the Vision was more than capable of holding its own against such eminent competition.

The Mazda RX Vision would be the basis of the Mazda RX-9 if it ever gets to the production line. If it does make the cut, It would feature a rotary engine, something the carmaker would continue to develop but, as of yet, has no plans to produce. It is Mazda's plan to develop a rotary engine for the RX-9 that is both fuel efficient and performance-centered, Auto Guide reported.

However, Mazda was very quick to say that this car would not be a “halo car for museums.” In other words, Mazda would need to know first if the car would sell. This is in stark contrast to the previous model, the Mazda RX-8 which pretty much flopped. Mazda clearly wants to avoid such an occurrence again.
