Samsung Galaxy S3 Pre-Order: Creates New Record In UK

Galaxy S3, Samsung's fabled smartphone has been in news even before its release. Now that the phone is all set to hit shelves in less than a week, it's creating records one after another. After a record of generating a whopping 9 million pre-orders from more than 100 global carriers, reports claim that the Samsung smartphone once again has a record number of end-user preorders in UK just before its launch.

Confirmed by a Vodafone spokesperson, The Inquirer has reported that "With over a week to go until launch, it's already the most pre-ordered Android device we've brought into our smartphone line-up to date and our limited time offer of 2GB of mobile data and 100 free music tracks is being snapped up."

Meanwhile, U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse also reported that pre-sales demand of Galaxy S3 as being huge.

While the international version of the Galaxy S3 is available in US Amazon, no local version of the phone is available as yet.

The 4.8-inch Galaxy S3 sports Super AMOLED HD screen that gives true, perfect color with ultrafast response time. The phone also features 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor along with ARM Cortex A9. But the quad core processor is available only with devices launching in Europe and Korea. But for the US market, the company will launch only dual core (not the quad core) Qualcomm processor. The Japanese version of the phone is expected to come with 2GB RAM while other global versions will have 1GB RAM. The phone is powered by Android's latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS and comes with 16/31 and 64GB internal memory, which can further extend by up to 64GB with SD card. The phone sports 8MP primary camera and a monstrous 2100mAh removable battery. A revolutionary wireless charging technology has also been provided with the phone. The best part of the phone is its features that include S Voice, Smart Stay, S Beam, Pop Up play, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Social Tag, AllShare Media and more.
