What Makes Subaru's 2017 BRZ Series.Yellow So Special?
Subaru's 2017 BRZ Series.Yellow, is a limited special edition model with striking yellow exterior color, distinctive yellow color accents. It has received some performance upgrades such as SACHS performance shocks and Brembo performance brakes.
A limited production (500 units) of the 2017 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow will be available by 2017. Subaru of America, Inc. announced that this special edition model will make its debut today at Wicked Big Meet, Stafford Springs, CT.
According to PR Newswire, the new BRZ Series.Yellow will feature black SUBARU and BRZ badging, black folding exterior mirrors and unique 17-inch black aluminum-alloy wheels. The Series.Yellow is equipped with the Performance Package introduced in the 2017 Subaru Limited model. This Performance package is tested to provide superior control and stopping power that enhances driving experience.
Further boosting its stopping power, pedal feel and fade resistance, the new Series.Yellow gets an advanced Brembo 4-piston calipers and rotors braking system. The performance shock absorbers also provide advanced handling, steering stability and more ride control.
Aside from the black interior accents, the Series.Yellow also has Alcantara upholstery highlighted by a contrasting yellow needlework throughout the interior which include the steering wheel, shifter boot, knee pads, door panels, dashboard and seats. The back of the front seats are embroidered with yellow BRZ logo, while silver BRZ emblem is embroidered in the carpeted floor mats.
According to Jalopnik, "With the limited edition Series.Yellow, Subaru aims to raise the BRZ to performance heights you couldn't imagine in your wildest dreams, you peasant." The new Subaru Series.Yellow will have an extensive engine work which will increase its horsepower by five and elevates the sport drive mode setting to track mode, Jalopnik added.
The 2017 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow is maintained by a standard 2.0L SUBARU BOXER powertrain with 6-speed manual gearbox. This horizontally-opposed drivetrain is enhanced with friction reduction updates and aluminum intake manifold plus a redesigned exhaust manifold.
Such combined engine improvements boost the Series.Yellow power output to 205 horsepower and 156 pound-feet torque. Improving the acceleration of this new Subaru BRZ is the addition of a standard Torsen limited-slip differential.
For exterior updates, the 2017 Subaru Series.Yellow has an improved aerodynamic design, upgraded LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights. Interior updates include driver information display which provides vehicle performance access to lateral Gs, braking force, oil/water temperature, steering angle, accelerator pedal position, integrated stop watch and battery voltage.
Other superb standard amenities for the 2017 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow are SUBARU STARLINK multimedia system which comprises 6.2-inch multi-function high-resolution touch-screen display, HD Radio, AM/FM stereo, 8-speaker audio system with single-disc CD player, smartphone integration, Bluetooth audio/phone interface, rear vision camera and satellite radio.
