Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Worldwide Release Set For September 20

Japanese video game developer Namco Bandai has announced a release date for their upcoming project, “Tekken Tag Tournament 2.” The new game will now be a part of home consoles after spending some time on Japanese arcades.

The developers have announced that the game will hit the stores on September 20, 2012. Although they've also announced some special edition bonuses, the package is just for European territories so far.

However, the "We Are Tekken" special edition will include a copy of the game in an impressive metal case, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a 200-page hardcover art book, and a soundtrack remix album.

According to the official game page on web, “TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 delivers new and returning characters in the largest roster ever. Experience the most advanced attack mechanics, ultimate combo move sets and new battle modes. With innovative features to broaden Tekken consumer accessibility, unlimited fighter combinations & multiple ways to challenge your friends – get ready for the next battle!”

The upcoming console version will be based on the game’s Unlimited version and will feature new characters in addition to the 44 already in the arcade version of the game. New stages have also been included, along with an entirely new Practice Mode called "Fight Lab" featuring Combot as a customisable training dummy.

The new "Fight Lab" mode will serve as a practicing ground for both beginners and advanced players with customizable bots.
