People with diabetes are now coming up with many ways to improve their lifestyle in managing and monitoring their glucose levels. They made sure they are creating a high-tech way of monitoring one's condition.

This has proven how the world is not only filled with people on their phones while playing or taking selfies all day. These members of the community are making their way to using technology in easing the suffering of diabetics.

DIY Diabetes Kit

One of the kits that people have made is called a Nughtscout. The device consists of a product called the Continuing Glucose Monitor (CGM) that monitors their glucose levels and a DIY transmitter that transmits updates made by the CGM to a cloud data storage.

In short, the CGM is the one monitoring the updates of the person and could transmit that information to any device, as reported by BBC News. This has become very handy to parents in monitoring a diabetic child's day.

X Drip

Aside from the device mentioned above, there are also many other ways in monitoring the glucose levels of a diabetic person and making it easier for them to maintain their insulin. There is another device called the X Drip that was made by a diabetic person as well, which can get data from Dexcom devices and share it as well.

It is a similar concept to that of a Nightscout that transmits data being monitored. There is also another person who invented an app on a smartphone that can work with the X Drip. The app can give out tips on how an insulin pump can function and keep his levels at a steady rate.

There are many ways to deal and monitor the glucose levels of diabetics and these people are definitely using technology to make their lives a little easier to live.
