Android Nougat: Everything You Need To Know Before Upgrading

Google has confirmed an update on the Android platform, known as Android Nougat. The updated operating system is more exciting, with handy features that are allegedly going to be released next month.

Android Nougat was initially named by Google as Android 7.0, but it was later given another name. This was due to the track record of Google giving their updates sweet names and in alphabetical order too; its last update was named "Marshmallow."

Ever since Google announced Android Nougat, it already laid out a timetable for fans with regards to its full update release. This is to keep fans on track on the upcoming mobile operating system's developer previews. Based on the timetable that Google has given for Android Nougat, it is already set to be released in August.

Android Nougat will feature a multi-window update, allowing users to access two apps side by side on just one screen. This is very helpful to the overall productivity of Android users. The upcoming Android operating system update will also allow users to resize the app window in order for the screen to accommodate the two opened apps.

There is also a Direct Reply feature on the upcoming mobile OS that will allow the user to reply directly as the notification tab pops out on the screen. This hasn't been applied to any Android phones to date.

Android Nougat will also feature better battery life. This is done by reducing any background activity for the opened apps and enhancing low-power mode when in use. This is highly beneficial for Android power users who spend a lot of time on their phones.

There is also a feature on Android Nougat which will provide a quicker and more convenient way in viewing the settings for an app. For example, as reported by USA Today, when the battery is tapped once, battery life can be viewed. However, if the battery icon is tapped twice, it can show which app/s are taking up the most energy.

Android Nougat is definitely a newer and better update to Google's popular mobile OS. These new features presented are also greatly beneficial to its users.
