'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' PS4 Rumored For October Release Not November; Italian Site Seems To Suggest

The PS4 version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" has been in the backseat for quite some time already. In fact, there were speculations about it being cancelled. Nonetheless, it was later confirmed for a release during the Holiday season this year. Now, new reports are pointing to a possible October 11 release window.

According to PlayStationLifeStyle, a NeoGAF user by name of piccio_ssl spotted "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 being listed on GameStop's Italian website. From there, the upcoming title for the said console was listed with an October 11 release date. Two screenshots were even taken as proof.

For the past few days, there have been a number of speculations regarding "Rise of the Tomb Raider's" possible price. Nonetheless, as seen in the listing, the upcoming PS4 title is expected to be fully priced.

The aforementioned NeoGAF user further suggested that the standard box art (located on the site) could simply be a placeholder. If this is the case, the "Rise of the Tomb Raider's" price point is likely to be applied only to its complete edition. It should also be noted that the term D1 in one of the screenshot is believed to be either Day One or Deluxe.

GameRant, on the other hand, notes that as per listing, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 owners might be set to pay about $60 for the game. And yes, this despite the game being a year old by the time it arrives on Sony's system. Hence the full price of the game could not really be that justifiable.

Moreover, by the time "Rise of the Tomb Raider" arrives on the aforementioned console on October 11, its PC and Xbox versions are expected to be heavily discounted already. Currently, Amazon lists the title at a price of $33.99.

As long as either Crystal Dynamics or Square Enix confirms the speculations, the official release date for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 could still remain a mystery. Although they have both confirmed its arrival, they have remained mum about it ever since.
