Lady Gaga, the controversial artist behind the hit songs "Poker Face" and "Just Dance" and her fiancée, Taylor Kinney broke up. The couple were together for five years.

The actor in "Chicago PD", "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med", Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga met on the set of Gaga's music video "You and I". They had an instant connection. Kinney played Gaga's love interest in the six minute video.

They went public with their relationship in December 2011. Reporters spotted the two walking arm in arm and enjoying each other's company in Southern California. Many photos of the couple's public displays of affection followed after that.

One photo, taken in August 2012, took many by surprise. The photo showed the couple skinny dipping and kissing. Gaga shared this photo on Instagram with a caption "T and me".

The controversial artist since then told "Fashion" magazine that she had "found love". She admitted then that their journey was difficult but gave the impression that their relationship was doing well. She even said that Kinney was not intimidated by her success.

Kinney proposed on Valentine's Day last year. The singer took a photo of her heart-shaped engagement ring with the caption, "he gave me his heart on Valentine's Day and I said YES!"

In addition, the couple was on a jaw-dropping cover of "V Magazine" in January of this year. T and Gaga posed naked and splattered with paint on top of a canvas. Gaga said, "He (Kinney) wanted to make love to me on a canvas."

In a surprising turn of events and with no official word, Gaga was seen in Cabo without her ring. Sources close to the couple said that they would like to keep quiet about the breakup. Reports state, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney called off the engagement because of too much time apart.
