Apple Vows to go on Secrecy Overdrive as iPhone 5 Part 'Leaks'

Apple CEO Tim Cook decided to go on secrecy overdrive just when people got their hands on some leaked iPhone 5 images online. "We're going to double down on secrecy on products" said Tim Cook at the D10: All Things Digital conference.

9To5Mac has published some high quality images of the next generation iPhone recently. These images revealed a bigger screen with aluminum back and a smaller dock connector at the bottom of the next generation iPhone. The speaker grills are also redesigned and the headphone jack is also placed in a different place, to the bottom left, which is completely different to the original Apple phone's design.

Engadget also posted some pictures of the next generation iPhone casings from a reliable source, uBreakiFix. The iPhone looks thinner and a bit taller than the last iPhone and comes with aluminum back. There is a small opening between the LED flash and the camera lens noticed in the images which can be a secondary microphone. But it won't be too shocking if Apple releases the next generation iPhone that looks completely different than the leaked pictures as it has happened a lot of times before.

The screen size of the next generation iPhone looks bigger in the images. The width looks same as the iPhone 4S but it's quite taller. It can be possible that Apple is trying to make space for a 4-inch screen by making the next generation iPhone taller. But if the objects displayed in the image are iPhone 5 prototype casings, then these photos are not revealing too much. The large metal plate noticed in the pic looks like Liquid metal made with a combination of glass at the bottom and top of the device.

While most people are hoping to see the next generation iPhone this June at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), there are rumors that Apple won't unveil the phone until October. It did the same thing last year and may be planning to do the same this year too.
