Nick Jonas Reacts To Being Snubbed At MTV VMA

The nominees of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards were recently announced. Among the artists that was expected to be nominated but unfortunately wasn't, was Nick Jonas. He took his disappointment to social media and expressed his dismay.

MTV announced the nominees for the MTV VMA last Tuesday afternoon. With Beyoncé topping the list with eleven nominations, singer Nick Jonas didn't even get one. The singer did not stay quiet with this predicament and voiced out his feelings of dismay.

After the announcement, Nick Jonas took to Twitter his disappointment of not being included in the list. He tweeted, "Disappointed with the fact 'Close' got no love for the #VMAs2016" according to Entertainment News Online.

Nick Jonas has over 10 million followers on Twitter and many of his fans shared his feeling of disappointment. However, after a few minutes of posting that, he later had a change of heart somehow.

US Magazine reported that Nick suddenly stepped back from his dismay and expressed his gratitude for everything that has happened to his life and his career this year alone. "Won't let this one thing get to me," he wrote on twitter. He considers not getting a nomination for this year's VMA as just one box that wasn't checked off his list, with the other 9 accomplished.

Even though Nick was not on the list of nominees, his brother Joe Jonas is. Joe's band is nominated for the Best New Artist category. Nick didn't say anything about his brother being nominated but his fans believe he has already shrugged it off.

There is still a lot in store for the singer for the rest of the year. He will be travelling the country with singer and bestfriend Demi Lovato throughout the entire summer for the Honda Civic Tour. His fans can definitely expect him to sing all of his hits including some tracks from his latest album, "Last Year Was Complicated."
