Asus GTX 1060 6GB Strix is one of the customized variants from Nvidia partners. The premium graphics card offers the best performance, cooling and feature set.

KitGuru reports that the Asus GTX 1060 6GB Strix OC is almost identical to the Asus GTX 1070 Strix at a quick first glance.  The reason is that Asus has used the same board design for both graphics cards. The board comes will Aura RGP functionality, full backplate and an excellent triple-fan cooler.

The Asus GTX 1060 Strix arrives in two different SKUs, a standard variant and n OC one. There are some observable differences between the two variants in terms of pricing and work frequencies.

The Asus GTX 1060 6GB Strix OC model has a slight memory overclock of 8208MHz and a boost clock of 1845MHz. The GTX 1060s is a more of a value-oriented model than the GTX 1070. Asus does justify the premium price by including uprated-quality components, full RGB functionality, dual HDMI ports for VR, automated production, onboard GPU-controlled fan headers and three-year warranty.

Hexus reports that Asus GTX 1060 6GB Strix OC provides a quality PC gaming experience at a reasonable price. The graphics card comes with a great-looking design and it is solid build, with Asus employing good quality materials.

 Measuring 298mm x 134mm x 40mm in size, Asus's air cooler is incorporating four direct-contact heatpipes, three 90mm fans, a full-length rear backplate and a board-encompassing heatsink. With such a well-designed cooling assembly it is certain that overclooking enthusiasts will have no problem.

Asus's GPU is one of the quickest GTX 1060s around, coming with an eight per cent frequency gain right out of the box. Users have also the possibility to install Asus's free-to-download GPUTweak utility that allows them to gain access to an optional OC mode.

Same as other cards in the ROG Strix range, the Asus GTX 1060 Strix OC comes with an array of Aura RGB LEDs that are controllable via software. Asus's LEDs are well positioned and offer decent color accuracy.
