iPhone 5 Features Rumor Roundup: 4-inch Screen, More RAM, A5X Chip Variant, 3D Maps and More

There are lots of rumor floating around about the next generation iPhone, dubbed iPhone 5, nowadays. The number of rumors is increasing with Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) coming near.

Apple usually starts its annual Worldwide Developers Conference with a keynote presentation. So people are waiting with high expectations that they might get to see the next iPhone. But before that, let's take a look at the rumors floating around.

An un-authentic iPhone 5 blueprint was revealed by CydiaBlog this week that confirms all the detail rumors. People can expect a lot of changes in design in iPhone 5 if the drawing is authentic. It will feature 1,136 x 640 pixels resolution in its 4-inch screen. The width is the same as the previous iPhone only a bit taller. The front-facing camera is also placed above the ear speaker in this latest design.

But so far, people never saw a leak that actually matches with the real Apple product. Moreover, Apple designs lots of prototypes before making an actual product and this blueprint might be a rejected one.

Still some people believe that this blueprint is revealing the actual dimensions of the next iPhone.

9to5Mac got their hands on two iPhone 5 parts, a small dock connector and the centering of the front-mounted camera lens. They also believe the next generation iPhone will feature iOS 6. The aspect ratio is going to be roughly 16:9 for the next generation iPhone. Apple is going to change the glass back that is featured in iPhone 4S with something possibly made of Liquidmetal alloy.

However, the most noticeable change that came as a rumor earlier this week is its new small shaped dock connector. The prototype version of iPhone 5 is created with 1GB of RAM, according to Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac. Another rumor that is not loved by iPhone fans is that the latest iPhone will feature A5X chip. It's the same chip used in the latest iPad.

Apple's next generation iPhone is expected to debut this October. But people can expect to get some news about iPhone 5 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next later this month.
