Sony Gaikai Deal: PS3 May Get to Stream PS2, PS One Games (Rumor)

Sony is planning to offer PS2 and PS One game streaming for PS3 users.  Rumors of a deal between the cloud gaming specialist Gaikai and Sony is the main basis of this rumor.

Some PS One and PS2 games are already available for PS3 users in the PlayStation Store. But if this rumor is true, a lot of popular PS2 and PS One games or maybe all the old PS2 and PS One games will be available for PS3. According to this rumor, Sony won't upload all these old games and make users buy them as the entire catalog will be streamed by a new streaming service.

The rumor of partnership between Gaikai and Sony does not clarify if it includes the latest PS Vita or other Sony tablets and TVs. The latest addition to the PlayStation series, PS3 does not support PS2 games. However, Sony did release some popular PS2 games in HD including God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Sony and Microsoft's competitor Nintendo is ready with their new console and released it last year. But there is no sign of PS4 or Xbox 720 yet.

If the rumors are true, PS3 users will get to enjoy old PS2 and PS One games in their PS3 soon.
