2016 Google Nexus News & Updates: Sailfish Specs Leaked!

As anticipated, 2016 Google Nexus Sailfish specs are revealed following the leaks of its batch mate, the Nexus Marlin.

GSM Arena posted detailed information about the Sailfish from the reliable GFXBench. It reveals the most appealing feature of the Sailfish is having a bigger screen; it boasts a 5 - inch display screen with a resolution of 1080p. The credit also goes to HTC, which collaborated with Google for the conception and production of the said device.

The next exciting aspect of Sailfish is that it will run Android Nougat. This means it can be stimulated from sleep through double - tapping. This easy operating element makes the device user-friendly. Yibada also reported that aside from the manual activation of the said device, one can stimulate it by making a schedule in sync with the movement of the sun.

The reported dual camera set-up includes a 12-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera could possess a multitasking ability for sensor, auto-focus and microphone.

Moreover, the phone is anticipated to provide a high level of authentication through its use of a biometric security that can be located at the back of the phone. It could refer to some sort of finger scanning to verify the security details of the user.

Popular gadget leaker Evan Blass made an announcement on his Twitter account about the supposed HD resolution of the new Nexus smartphone and its must-have Snapdragon 820 processor.

Although the metal design is inspired by HTC's existing Android phones, the Sailfish will not bear the HTC brand nor the Nexus brand. The available colors might be white, black and blue in a glossy finish. The leaks and teasers came out right on time as the Nexus Sailfish is suggested for release anytime this month.
