There have recently been new updates on what is in store for Oliver Queen on the fifth season of "Arrow." In addition to that, an update on his romantic life with Felicity has also been revealed, and it will not make 'Olicity' fans really happy.
As recalled, season four of "Arrow" ended with Oliver Queen being named the mayor of Star City. With his team leaving him, Oliver will have to find new ways to deal with new villains while he is a mayor and a vigilante at night.
As reported by International Business Times, Oliver will be facing a whole new chapter of his life with whole new members of his team, including Wild Dog, The Vigilante and Artemis. These heroes will be played by Rick Gonzalez, Josh Segarra and Madison McLaughlin.
The producer of "Arrow" also teased that there will be more flashbacks to his past, specifically the time that he spent in Russia. This will then help him deal with the mob, which will be the new criminal presence in the city. Although the mob will not have supernatural powers, it will be just as mortifying as the other villains that 'Green Arrow' has encountered.
As for his romantic relationship with Felicity, it looks like there isn't a near chance for the two to work things out again after having broken up in season four. According to Inquisitr, the actress who plays Felicity, Emily Bett Rickards, admitted that her character will be having a new boyfriend in season five, much to fans' dismay, especially those who are rooting for her and Oliver.
When actor Stephen Amell was asked how Oliver will deal with their break up, he teased that he will be dealing with it the same way he has dealt with heartbreak in the past: acceptance. Oliver will have a lot on his plate in the upcoming season, fighting the mob and being the mayor of their city; Felicity will still team up with him and fight battles together, though only as friends.
