Pokemon GO Update: Gen 2 Release Date Revealed? Trainer Battles To Arrive With Trading System
Pokemon GO Gen 2 has been in the rumor mill since its release. Fans continue to speculate what this new update will bring to the game. Above all, they are so eager to learn what new kinds of Pokemon they will be catching. But apart from that, two new features are also believed to be introduced to the highly celebrated augmented reality mobile game. These are the Trading System and Trainer Battles.
Pokemon GO Gen 2 Update
According to Ecumenical News, Pokemon GO Gen 2 could arrive through an update courtesy of Niantic. While the studio has yet to announce an official release date, it is believed to introduce the second-generation of Pokemon (see the list here). These creatures, as well as their respective evolutions, have yet to be included in Generation 1.
Some Pokemon Expected To Arrive In Pokemon GO Gen 2
While Chansey is already in Pokemon GO, its evolutionary form is still a mystery. In the next generation of Pokemon, it can be transformed into Blissey. Chansey's evolutionary form, along with other creatures, are believed to be part of the upcoming Gen 2 update.
As for Eevee, it is no secret that it has three evolutions in Pokemon GO first generation -- namely, Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon. However, in Gen 2, players can expect the arrival of Umbreon and Espeon.
Pokemon GO Trading System
Without a doubt, Niantic will add a trading system to Pokemon GO. Why? That is because such a feature is widely known across other Pokemon games. And through this, players will be able to acquire creatures that they have yet to capture -- via trading, of course. Otakukart reports that this feature is likely to arrive by November this year.
Pokemon GO Trainer Battles
First and foremost, Pokemon GO gym battles are completely different from Trainer Battles. In order to experience the former, a player must visit a particular gym and try to take/own it. As for the Trainer Battles, this feature will give players the opportunity to battle other trainers. Simply put, they will be given the chance to contact a trainer is nearby to battle it out Pokemon vs Pokemon. The aforesaid feature is believed to arrive sometime in March next year.
